Savior - Easter Sunday

Saturday, 03 April 2010

Speaker Name:  Steve Williams
Series:  IXOYE - Jesus Christ God's Son Savior
Description:
The very idea of a ’savior’ is akin to the ’white knight’. The mere use of either term implies that we are in danger of some kind and that we can’t handle it ourselves. That we needed someone greater, better or more qualified to rescue us from the terrible fate we face. The early believers of the ‘ICTHUS’ understood this concept well. Imagine life in the 1st century, yeah pretty tough. They needed a savior; so do we!

Son

Saturday, 27 March 2010

Speaker Name:  Steve Williams   |  Matthew 16:13-20
Series:  IXOYE
Description:
The twelve were honored to have spent three full years with Jesus and in that time they had front row tickets to the greatest show of all time! Have you ever tried to describe a significant/powerful moment many years later in words alone? Even in the hands of a Shakespeare, they come up short. As hard as we try, they are insufficient. So often the early church relied on basic tools like the Icthus to anchor the church in the truth!

God's

Speaker Name:  Travis Cox
Series:  IXOYE

Jesus

Saturday, 06 March 2010

Speaker Name:  Steve Williams
Series:  IXOYE
Description:
Perhaps the second most recognized religious symbol in the US is the ‘Icthus’, or the ’fish’ in Greek. There are a ton of variations and versions, some good and some bad. Where did it come from, what does it mean and why could it be a key to our understanding of who Jesus Christ was, is and will be in the future!?!? Well, the next few weeks we’ll explore all of these questions and more! Let’s clean an Icthus!

Fishers of Men

Saturday, 27 February 2010

Speaker Name:  Steve Williams   |  Matthew 4:18-23

Description:
God has clearly woven a theme into the last few weeks messages and events here at New Life, all without any input from us!?!? So hang on because I think we are in for a challenge and a series of lessons preparing us for a renewal of our calling to be FISHERS of MEN! This is going to mean having our use of time, our talents, our motivations and lifestyles questioned by the Man from Galilee!

Missions in China

Saturday, 20 February 2010

Series:  Missions

A Heart By Any Other Name

The Power of Praise and Service

Saturday, 06 February 2010

Speaker Name:  Steve Williams
Series:  Baggage
Description:
Marty, the ‘Bell Hop’ of life has worked hard through the week! I’m sure you experienced his antics and tactics even as you came to New Life this morning!?!? He has been here all week trying to re-establish his ability to get in here and disrupt what God has begun to teach us! Don’t give in, don’t let down, let’s not go back! Let’s step forward and create new life patterns and lifestyles that don’t include, BAGGAGE!

The Power of Forgiveness!

Saturday, 30 January 2010

Speaker Name:  Steve Williams   |  Matthew 6:9-15
Series:  Baggage
Description:
The ‘Bell Hops’ of life regularly attempt to place/gift/force/pressure or otherwise impose baggage on us! Like water around a submarine; there is constant pressure upon us. We do not have the continuous hull strength on our own. But with God’s grace comes the accompanying presence and power of the Holy Spirit. The gifts of the Spirit are the commodities and tools we need to resist the work of the enemy to sink us under a barrage of baggage.

Traveling Light with the Spirit! - Part 2

Saturday, 23 January 2010

Speaker Name:  Daryl Crow   |  Galatians 5:22-23
Series:  Baggage
Description:
